The Midland 3" Energy Saver garage door combines lasting energy efficiency, strong craftsmanship, and numerous design options using environmentally friendly materials. Heavy gauge hardware, torsion springs and angle mounted track are standard for all styles. Section insulation has an "R" factor of 16.05 as manufactured.
Both the exterior and interior skins are pebble textured 26-gauge steel; 20 gauge steel is optional for exterior skin. This steel is pressure bonded to an extruded polystyrene closed-cell foam core to provide a minimal maintenance, high efficiency door. Exterior and interior skins are separated to form an effective thermal break. A weather-strip is installed between each section joint to form a weather tight seal.
Midland's 3" Energy Saver is an extremely rigid and strong industrial garage door. These well-built steel doors have been shown to have bonded strength several times that of standard foamed-in-place style energy doors.
